Two written statements on the Turkish minority in Greece to the UN Human Rights Council by FUEN
The Federal Union of European Nationalities(FUEN) submitted two written statements on the problems of the Turkish Minority and Rhodes-Kos Turks in Greece to 34th regular session of the UN Human Rights Council which will be held from February 27th and March 24th, 2017 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Habip Oğlu met with the YTB Vice President Sayit Yusuf
Vice President of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) Halit Habip Oğlu visited Vice President of the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (Y.T.B) Sayit Yusuf in his office in Ankara on February 10, 2017. Habip Oğlu congratulated Yusuf on his new appointment as the Y.T.B Vice President and wished him success and great achievements in his future work.

FUEN wins on the legal struggle of European minorities
The European Court of Justice delivered that the European Commission decision to reject the registration of FUEN’s one million signature campaign on grounds that the initiative is not within its competence was unlawful.

MINORITIES IN THE CAUCASUS
From 14-17 December 2016 a dialogue project will take place in the House of Minorities of FUEN in Flensburg with minorities from the Caucasus region. The minorities in the Caucasus region face major challenges in finding their role in civil society. The core of the project is to create a dialogue between different ethnic and language groups.

FUEN Turkish Minorities / Communities Working Group 3rd Meeting was held in Berlin
The Third Meeting of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) Turkish Minorities / Communities Working Group (TAG) was held on 14-17 November 2016 in Berlin, the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany. FUEN President Lorant Vincze attended to the meeting which was held in the Federal German Interior Ministry Work Building with logistical support of the FUEN Working Group of German Minorities (AGDM).

FUEN-member Turkish associations raise their problems at OSCE meeting
The representatives of Turkish Minority of Western Thrace, Meskhetian Turks and Crimean Tatars who are members of FUEN (Federal Union of European Nations) attended the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Human Dimension Implementation Meeting organised during 19-30 September 2016 in Warsaw. FUEN Legal Adviser and FUEN Brussels Office Manager Frank de Boer also participated to the meeting for two weeks where civil society representatives raised the problems of discriminatory practices faced in their homelands.

FUEN CONDEMNS ARREST OF MR KAYMAKÇI, PRESIDENT OF OUR MEMBER ORGANISATION FROM RHODES AND KOS
The Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) is shocked by the news that the president of our member organization Rhodes, Kos and the Dodecanese Turks Culture and Solidarity Association, Mr. Mustafa Kaymakçı was arrested and kept under detention one night in Kos (İstanköy), where he was doing research for a new project of his organization.
