Intensive Dialogue at Strasbourg: FUEN Member Organizations held talks with the PACE members and the bodies of the Council of Europe

FUEN member organizations, Federation of Western Thrace Turks in Europe (ABTTF), Rhodes, Kos and the Dodecanese Turks Culture and Solidarity Association (ROISDER) and International Society of the Meskhetian Turks VATAN attended the Winter Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). The three groups representing the Turkish Minority of Western Thrace and the Turkish minority in Rhodes and Kos in Greece and the Meskhetian Turks respectively raised the problems of their own communities.

The Rhodes, Kos and the Dodecanese Turks Culture and Solidarity Association, in its Turkish and Greek letters to the İzmir Consulate General of the Hellenic Republic dated November 26, 2015, conveyed its request for the preservarion and usage of the Ottoman architecture in Rhodes and Kos according to their purpose.

II. Annual meeting of the Working Group of Turkic Minorities (TAG) of Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) took place in Baku/Azerbaijan during 9-12 November 2015. The meeting was hosted by the Association of Meskhetian Turks in Azerbaijan VATAN. The first meeting of FUEN TAG, which was established in 2013, was organized in Ankara in 2014.

General Elections Statement from FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus

Dear Western Thrace Turks

We are experiencing a new election process in our country. Our wish for the 25th January elections is for our people to go to the polls and with their freewill support their candidates. As the FEP Party we will not participate in these elections because of the 3% undemocratic electoral threshold.

FUEN Working Group of the Turkic Minorities met for the first time during the founding event in Ankara

The first annual meeting of the Working Group of the Turkic Minorities under the umbrella of FUEN took place from 20 until 23 November in Ankara, Turkey. FUEN President Hans Heinrich Hansen and FUEN Vice-President Halit Habip Oğlu honoured the meeting with their presence.
