Recently, at the beginning of July 2017, Greece Government shut down the entry gate of the Complex to prevent the tourists to see the said collapse.

4th Annual Meeting of the Working Group of Turkic Minorities/Communities(TAG) within the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) was held on 24-27 October 2017 hosted by FUEN member Rhodes, Kos and Dodecanese Turks Culture and Solidarity Association (ROISDER). - FUEN member Turkic organizations are at the OSCE

 

Turkic organizations, which are members of the Federal Union of European Nationalities (FUEN) participated at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Human Dimension Implementation Meeting organized in Warsaw, Poland. Western Thrace Turks, Rhodes-Kos Turks, Ahıska Turks and Crimean Tatars who are member of FUEN Working Group of Turkic Minorities/Communities (TAG) and Kosovo Turks which is not yet a member of FUEN but attended at the FUEN TAG Annual Meeting in 2016 participated at the OSCE meeting, which is the largest conference in Europe in the field of human rights and democracy.

- FUEN brought non-diplomatic language of Greece to the UN

 

Federal Union of European Nations (FUEN) presented a written statement at the 35th Session of UN Human Rights Council held in Geneva on 6-23 June 2017 and criticized the tone of the response of Greece to two written statements related to the problems of the Western Thrace Turks and the Turks in Rhodes and Kos presented in the previous session by FUEN. In the 34th session held in March, Greece against diplomatic practices used a rude, derogatory and slanderous tone as a response to FUEN that brought the problems of the Western Thrace Turks and Turks in Rhodes and Kos on the agenda.

As of today, European citizens everywhere can now support the European Citizens’ Initiative online, to promote the cultural and linguistic diversity in Europe. On the Minority SafePack Initiative campaign homepage (http://www.minority-safepack.eu) the “Sign” button will allow access to the official petition system, where the respective country form needs to be accessed and the required data needs to be filled in. Additionally, a full overview of the online signatures that have been registered so far can be viewed.
